The Interactive Evolution Process

Our 10 step process was developed to ensure that every Glimpse Interactive project is created in the most professional, timely manner possible.

1. Initial Consultation

During this stage Glimpse Interactive asks directed questions and listens carefully to the client's desires for the project. Goals are set and the overall theme of the project is realized.

2. Form the Team

This stage brings together everyone involved in the project. Glimpse Interactive will coordinate all team members to ensure that everyone is included in the process. We take inclusion very seriously. Staff members from both Glimpse Interactive and the client will be involved in all facets of the project – from creation of the theme, concept design, and construction, testing and launch of the project. Communication is stressed between the client and Glimpse. This communication is critical to the creative process.

We remain open to client feedback. To do this means that both the designer and the client must have utmost respect for one another. This mutual respect ensures that client suggestions are always greeted considerately – not with frustration or arrogance.

Progress Meetings: Glimpse Interactive makes sure to involve the entire project team in frequently scheduled progress meetings. Having a constant line of communication produces the best collaborative results.

3. Blueprint

In this stage Glimpse Interactive creates a Creative Brief document that outlines the project's theme and goal. It also will include either site-maps or storyboards depending on the nature of the project (Flash movie, web site, etc.). Deadlines and milestones are finalized at this point.

4. Concept

The concept design describes visually the project’s theme. Graphic design, layout, typography, navigation, and color are all part of the concept design. This stage is a milestone. The goal we strive for at Glimpse Interactive is to make sure the Concept Design is not a surprise to the client. By this point in the process the project team will have collaborated to such an extent that the Concept Design will be the obvious solution to achieve our goal.

5. Feedback

Feedback is crucial throughout the project, but we specifically integrate it into our process after each milestone. After the milestone has been presented, we enter the Feedback stage. Typically feedback will occur during the presentation of Concepts meeting. At times focus groups are brought in to test concepts as well.

6. Rationalize

This stage looks at the initial concept designs and eliminates any design elements or written content that is not essential to the communication of the project's theme. This is a crucial step that actually takes place throughout the process. However, we schedule a specific meeting at this time to ensure that only the core message is being communicated. All other information just gets in the way.

7. Construction

Full project production now begins. For web sites concept designs are made into functional HTML pages. Light scripting such as rollovers are implemented. Glimpse Tech Modules are installed and high-level programming code is added to the site. All Administrative Modules are installed at this point as well. Motion graphics projects (Flash or Digital Video) begin initial motion studies and once approved, production moves forward.

8. Beta

The project beta is now complete. Clients and possibly Focus Groups will now begin full testing of the project. We test for effective communication, navigation, and technical operation. Proofreading is also very important at this stage. Again, there are no surprises here. The site is essentially finished due to the large amount of collaboration and progress meetings that have already occurred.

9. Launch

After beta testing and final client approval the project is launched.

10. Support

Glimpse Interactive offers multiple levels of support depending on each client’s needs. We’re very proud of our customer support, but don’t take our word for it. Below are a few references that you may contact to hear for yourself what it is like to work with Glimpse Interactive.
